The Make-A-Wish foundation is a non-profit organization that works with families to grant wishes for children who are diagnosed with a critical illness. This year, W.A. Smith Financial Group decided to partner with the Make-A-Wish foundation. We already granted a wish for a 13-year-old boy named Kaleb earlier this year, and we were amazed by the experience. When granting a Wish for a child, you don’t just donate money; you donate an experience. Granting Kaleb’s wish gave us the opportunity to see the smiles on the faces of him and his family whose lives we positively impacted. Granting a wish through the Make-A-Wish foundation is a one of a kind experience, and we want you to be a part of it!
Kaleb and his older sister Brooke are battling a rare condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia— an autosomal recessive inherited disease that causes progressive damage to the nervous system. Earlier this year their father passed away from a critical illness of his own. Despite the hardships, Brooke, Kaleb and their mother have remained positive. Kaleb’s wish was to visit a handicap-accessible beach with his mother and sister. Thanks to the help of our team at W.A. Smith Financial group, we were able to donate the money to grant this wish for Kaleb.
It is our goal, by the end of this year, to grant two more wishes for children like Brooke and Kaleb. Help us reach our goal by donating to the link below. We thank you in advance for your help!
